Slide 14 - This scene shows mothers in a health clinic in Tunisia being taught how to prepare and use oral rehydration solutions for their infants with diarrhoea.

This scene shows mothers in a health clinic in Tunisia being taught how to prepare and use oral rehydration solutions for their infants with diarrhoea. Mothers with their infants are often kept in the clinic for a few hours and then sent home to continue the treatment. For most cases, only the oral rehydration solution is needed. Antibiotics are given only if there is severe dysentery, or if cholera is suspected.
